Aight, I’ll tell you what happened!

Jaycob here all banged up and bruised (literally) after an e-bike accident I had a few days ago. Who would have thought that a quick test ride would turn into such a stupid crash? I’ll tell you what happened and I’m sure you’ll want to take notes to prevent it from happening to you!

Ebike Crash & what I learned 🤕

I was excited because I got this new bike, assembled it, started shooting my video, took the dogs for a ride while I did the review. Assembling the bike was a breeze, quick-release front tire? No problem, right? Well, no. I’ve assembled a lot of bikes and never had a problem. But there’s always a first time, even to break your face!

First up is my “uniform” – flip flops? shorts? no helmet? I’m an idiot. But hey, it happens. And now I have the scars to prove it. Scraped from head to toe, stitches, everything. It’s a miracle I didn’t break anything, honestly.

The accident happened in the blink of an eye. One second I was going at full speed and the next I had my face on the asphalt, if it hadn’t been for the good brakes of the bike I would have broken my hand, because as you can see in the video, that’s what hurt me the most.

As I was in my neighborhood as soon as I fell, the neighbors rushed to help and I will always be grateful to the grandmother who wrapped my hands from there I walked home as best I could, because I also hurt my knees, I went to the emergency room they did a CT scan they took the stitches and sent me home with ibuprofen and Tylenol.

In conclusion… wear a helmet and shoes!!!! I was very irresponsible to leave the house as if I was stepping off the couch into the bathroom, I am really lucky to be alive, it could have been much worse, a fracture, a serious face injury, or even a concussion. I ask you to learn from me and always wear your full-face helmet, even a motorcycle helmet, do a thorough check of the bike before every ride and never ever wear flip flops when riding!

I will keep you posted on the healing process and we will be back in action soon. Until then, stay safe out there and let’s make sure everyone comes home in one piece.

Peace out!
